Expectation Graduation
In our community and in our state, many students do not complete high school for a variety of reasons which may include financial pressure on the family, a lack of academic success, caring for another individual in the home, a lack of positive role models, poor behavior, and the list continues. Lubbock ISD is committed to the philosophy of “every child, every day” and works to keep kids in school. On Saturday, September 15 at 7:30 a.m., we invite the community to join us in the important work of getting dropouts back in school.

Teams of school personnel and community volunteers will gather in the Jay Gordon Room of LISD Central Office, 1628 19th St. at 7:30 a.m. for a short training session. Teams will go to the last known address of dropouts and invite students to re-enroll in school.

Join Lubbock ISD in the “Expectation Graduation Walk” on Saturday, September 15 from 7:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

ONLINE REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED. Please contact Stefanie Payne for questions at
766-1330

All volunteers that are not Lubbock ISD employees, including Student Teachers and Field-Based Students, MUST submit, in addition to the volunteer registration form, a volunteer application/criminal history form. A link to the application can be found at https://teamsoutside.lubbockisd.org/volunteer. The acceptance certificate should be brought with you on the day of the walk. Please allow 2-3 days for the application to process.
